JESUS: We believe Jesus is the second Person of the Trinity, perfect Deity and true humanity united in one person²⁷ forever, possessing all the divine Excellencies and is co-equal with the Father²⁸. Jesus, Son of the living God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary²⁹. He is the living Word, fully God and fully man in human flesh³⁰. He is humanity as God intended us to be³¹. God honored His covenants with Israel and His prophetic promises of salvation³² by sending His Son³³, Jesus, into the world³⁴. Jesus was anointed as God's Messiah and empowered by the Holy Spirit³⁵, inaugurating God's kingdom reign on earth³⁶, overpowering the reign of satan by resisting temptation³⁷, preaching the good news of salvation³⁸, healing the sick³⁹, casting out demons⁴⁰ and raising the dead⁴¹. He lived a sinless life⁴², died on the cross in the place of our sins⁴³ thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone⁴⁴ and rose physically from the dead on the third day⁴⁵, He was victorious over sin and satan and now holds the keys of death. He ascended to sit at the right hand of God, where He, the only mediator between God and man, intercedes on every believer¹s behalf⁴⁶, and is returning to receive His church and rule and reign forever⁴⁷. He is the eternal Messiah-King⁴⁸, advancing God's reign throughout every generation and throughout the whole earth today.
