About The CROSSing

 

Our purpose: To empty ourselves and allow God to use us to reach a lost and hurting generation – a generation that lacks hope. We strive to build a non-denominational ministry where people will come to know Him, love Him, worship Him and obey Him. We want people to become true disciples of Him. The CROSSing is a God-thing. It is run by God on His terms, no matter how radical or unorthodox it may seem. It is not a human thing. We can reach the lost only through Him. This is God’s ministry and it must be ALL Him.


The CROSSing is a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of His Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ. Our Articles of Faith are the primary doctrines of the Christian faith and reflect the heart of the teaching and preaching ministry of this local church.


We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s Agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to proclaim ourselves Christians. We accept those areas of doctrinal teaching on which, historically, there has been general agreement among all true Christians. We desire to allow for freedom of conviction on other doctrinal matters, provided that any interpretation is based upon the Bible alone, and that no such interpretation shall become an issue that hinders the ministry to which God has called us.


Our worship includes praise songs that reflect our desire to love God.  Our worship band is led by the Holy Spirit moved with a passion to worship the King.


The teaching comes from the Word of God, our ultimate authority in all things.


We believe that God is more concerned about the condition of your heart than the condition of your clothes and our services are for “all who are thirsty.”


We have a nursery adjacent to the sanctuary and a Toddler’s Class downstairs. Our Children’s Church ministers to those from 3-years-old to sixth grade.


We invite teenagers to stay in the morning celebration. Our youth group meets Sunday evenings.
